Savory Sunday

This recipe always reminds me of Thanksgiving at my Grandma's. We had appetizers before the feast and my Aunt Natalie always brought these. You had to get there early if you wanted any!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

1 lb. bacon
2 cans whole water chestnuts
1 C. sugar
1 C. ketchup

Cut bacon strips in half and water chestnuts in half. Wrap one piece of cut bacon around one half water chestnut piece and secure with a toothpick through the whole piece. Repeat until you run out of supplies. Bake for 45 min at 350 degrees or until bacon is cooked. Mix sugar and ketchup together and pour over pieces. Bake another 20-30 min. These will fly off the plate at your next get together!
