What the heck are we talking about?

We use a lot of abbreviations and crazy coupon lingo on our blog. If you are new to the wonderful world of coupons here is the skinny on what the heck we are talking about!

Coups - COUPONS!

P&G

RP
- Red Plum coupon insert in the Sunday newspaper or if you live in Northern Utah it comes to you in the mail on Tuesday with all the store ads. There are also Red Plum coupon sites online.

SS

Blinkies
- The little machines attached to shelves at the store that have coupons that you pull out of them. They usually have a blinking light on them.

Printables
- Coupons that you print from the internet. You can usually print 2 coupons per computer. After you hit print to get your first set of coupons, wait until they print, then hit your back button and then hit retry or refresh and your second set of coupons should print automatically.

Tear Pads
- These are pads of coupons at the store that you just tear off and use.

Hangtags
- Coupons that are hanging from the shelf or the item.

Catalina
- A store coupon that prints after your receipt from a store register.

Rolling or Roll It Over
- Using a Catalina towards the same product over and over.

RR
- Register Reward at Walgreens. A Register Reward is a coupon good for anything in the store that prints out after you have bought the specified items. However, you cannot use that coupon to get another of the same item and expect another voucher to print out.
Example: If I buy 1 Schick Shave gel and get a $2.99 RR and use that to buy another shave gel, I won’t get another voucher on the second shave gel.

SCR
- Single Check Rebate at Rite Aid. You buy participating Single Check Rebate products, then submit your receipts online and get a check in the mail. These rebates allow you to get items for FREE and sometimes even make money! Yes, you can make money purchasing items! Single Check Rebates are super easy to do online or you could snail mail them too.

+Up Rewards
- +Up Rewards are at Rite Aid. You will need to sign up for their Wellness Card to participate in these. It is like a catalina that prints at the end of your receipt that is like free money to use at Rite Aid. The great part about these is that you can roll them over and still get another +Up Reward!
MIR - Mali in rebate.

Filler Item
- A filler item is an inexpensive item that you may need to make sure you have the same number of coupons as you do items. These are usually only needed at Walgreens and sometimes at Rite Aid.

$?/?
- This is the dollar amount you will save off of the product amount purchased. Example: $3/1 means save $3 off of one item purchased.
