Sweet Tooth Saturday!

This cake is so yummy! It could be the best homemade chocolate cake I have ever had! It is so yummy right out of the oven with the frosting melting into the cake! Man, I might have to make this today!

Texas Sheet Cake

Mix:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Beat:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup buttermilk*

Bring to boil:
2 cubes butter or margarine
1 cup water
2 Tablespoons cocoa

Pour cocoa mixture into flour mixture, add egg mixture, mix well. Pour into greased sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

While cake is baking make frosting.

Heat on stove:
1 cube butter or margarine
3 Tablespoons cocoa
4 Tablespoons buttermilk*

Add:
3 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Frost over hot cake.

***How to make 1 cup buttermilk***
1 Tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar plus enough milk to make 1 cup. Let stand 5 minutes before using.
