Savory Sunday!

We have this every Christmas for breakfast. It is so yummy and easy. I get it all ready the night before and sit it in the fridge overnight. First thing I do Christmas morning is set the oven and bake it. It is all ready to eat when we are finished opening presents. It goes perfect with the Pull A Parts that I posted yesterday!

Breakfast Casserole

2 1/2 cups any flavor croutons or just used cubed bread
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 can sliced mushrooms
2 1/2 cups milk
2 lbs cooked sausage, bacon or ham
9 eggs
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Cook and crumble sausage or bacon, or cut ham into bite size pieces.
Spread croutons or cubed bread in greased 9x13 pan.
Layer mushrooms and cheese on top.
Layer meat of choice next.
Beat eggs, milk, soup and dry mustard in a separate bowl, then pour over meat.
Cover and let it sit overnight (or you can just bake it after you prepare it).
Bake uncovered at 300 for 1 1/2 hours.

We think it tastes best served with Tabasco and/or Ranch dressing. To each his own!
